1-suit & 4-suit · Eight perfect runs
Spider
Two decks
Suits: 1 · 4
Goal: assemble eight complete King-to-Ace runs and move them to the foundations.
- Tableau columns build down in any suit. Spider has 1, 2, or 4-suit variations; this table enforces the 1-suit variation (suits are interchangeable, so any descending run can be moved together).
- Only face-up cards can be picked up; uncovering a face-down card flips it.
- Any card may start an empty column.
- When you're stuck, tap the stock to deal one card onto every column — allowed only when no column is empty.
- A complete King-to-Ace run (all 13 cards) leaves for a foundation on its own the moment you finish it — there is nothing to drag.
Variants
The rules above are Spider (1 Suit). Here is how the rest of the family differs.
Spider (4 Suits)
Goal: assemble eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs and move them to the foundations. This is the classic, hardest four-suit Spider.
- Tableau columns build down in any suit — a card lands on any card one rank higher, regardless of suit.
- Cards move as a group only when they form a same-suit descending run; otherwise you move one card at a time.
- Only face-up cards can be picked up; uncovering a face-down card flips it.
- Any card may start an empty column.
- When you're stuck, tap the stock to deal one card onto every column — allowed only when no column is empty.
- A complete King-to-Ace run in a single suit (all 13 cards) leaves for a foundation on its own the moment you finish it — there is nothing to drag.
