Eight Off

Goal: build all four foundations up from Ace to King, each in a single suit.

• Tableau columns build down in the same suit (a 6 of spades on a 7 of spades).
• Eight free cells hold one card each — four of them start with a card from the deal.
• Only a King may start an empty column.
• A descending same-suit run can be dragged as a group, but only as far as free cells and empty columns could relay it by hand: (1 + free cells) × 2 for each empty column.
